Dubai Sale Calendar 2026: When to Buy What (White Friday, Ramadan, Eid & More)

Dubai Sale Calendar 2026: When to Buy What (White Friday, Ramadan, Eid & More)

Not every “sale” in Dubai is a real discount. This calendar shows when the genuine deals usually happen, and what categories are most worth buying in each season.

Dubai is built for shopping. There are promotions year‑round, but the best value tends to cluster around a few predictable periods. The trick is knowing what to buy when – and avoiding the trap of buying something “on sale” that was never truly priced higher in the first place.

White Friday (late November)

White Friday is the UAE’s Black Friday season. It is usually the best time of year for electronics and many home appliances. If you are planning to upgrade phones, headphones, tablets, TVs, vacuums or kitchen appliances, this is the window to watch.

What’s often worth buying: electronics, TVs, home appliances, Amazon devices.

What to double‑check: fashion and furniture can be mixed – some genuine clearance, some inflated “before” prices.

Dubai Shopping Festival (December–January)

DSF is a city‑wide event with mall promotions, raffles and entertainment. It can be great for fashion, perfumes and sometimes gold (especially when making charges are discounted). Electronics can be good, but often isn’t as consistently strong as White Friday.

Ramadan sales (Feb–Mar, dates vary)

Ramadan promotions often lean toward the home: kitchen appliances, household goods, groceries and family‑focused shopping. Supermarket promotions can be genuinely competitive during this period.

Eid periods

Eid shopping tends to be strong for gifts, perfumes and fashion. The best selection is usually one to two weeks before Eid, not during the final rush.

Back to school (August)

Back‑to‑school offers can be good for stationery, backpacks and sometimes laptops or tablets. Uniform availability and sizing is the bigger constraint – shop early for less stress.

Summer sales (June–August)

Summer is often best for fashion clearance. Electronics are typically better saved for White Friday.

How to spot fake discounts

In any sale season, the red flags are consistent: “up to 90% off” messaging, missing original prices, and deals that appear “limited time” but never end. The most practical approach is to track a shortlist of items you actually want for a few weeks before the major sale windows, then compare prices across Amazon.ae and other big UAE retailers.

Simple cheat sheet: what to buy when

  • Electronics: White Friday, then DSF.
  • Home appliances: White Friday, and often Ramadan promotions.
  • Groceries: Ramadan promotions.
  • Fashion: summer clearance and DSF.
